The new topbar has been rolled out today to Meta Stack Exchange, and a few moments ago to ♦ moderators on the entire network as well. This is how it looks like for me, and is going to look for you all as well (except for the diamond on the right):
You can see that the height of the bright rainbow has been reduced to a familiar level.
To disable the ...
"questions about the particulars of specific games to be off-topic "
That hits the nail on the head for me.
CoC had a few days of irritation, due to server issues, but in the relatively short time I've been here, it's the only game that seems to crop up as a taggable one. The rest don't seem to generate questions here. So, blanket ban on games questions ...
TL;DR: This will happen as a result of mostly unrelated cleanup efforts.
To clarify our position here: there were no plans to make the redirect-only domains available over https://. They were never at any point in time supported, nor do we generate links to them - so all links in existence should be http://.
Even if they were https://, they wouldn't get ...
Yes, people have been noticing this on all sites throughout the Stack Exchange network. There's a 'central' bug post on the Main Meta which has now been marked status-completed, meaning it should be resolved.
There used to be an issue where, if your account had no activity in any badge, and you opened the tag badge selector, your tag badge tracker would become hidden and you couldn't select a new tag badge. This is apparently what happened to your profile.
I've reset the tracker for your profile so you can select a tag badge now.
I've updated my stylesheet for a better top bar based on the Stack Overflow bar (which I released previously). This stylesheet rearranges the items to the correct order as they were previously, and also integrates the navigation into the top bar like Stack Overflow.
Thanks for reporting this, it was a false positive in the method that removes greetings from the beginning of the post. I see you've already found a workaround for this issue.
Anyway, fix is rolling out with build rev 2014.1.13.1297.
It seems only SO shows the rep. league.
Since SE has 115(!) Q&A sites all in all, I made a script (obviously :P) to look through each of them and check whether profile pages showed rep. league.
The result was that no other SE sites but SO showed it. To be extra sure, I also recorded total number of users for each site and number of users with actual RP ...
I'm adding this as another answer just to make one specific point/question/poll…
How many of the mods & high rep others here have ever actually played CoC? or had any of the issues we've seen described on the topic?
Or are we, between us, providing the best LMGTFY service to single-digit AD users that we possibly can, yet coming up far shorter than we ...
I'm going to say we don't need to make COC off topic.
It seems odd to rule out one app because we already have all the tools we need to close low quality (and total crap) questions.
If someone can show me a question that needs to be closed as "off topic" if we were to implement this request, my suspicion is that it could also easily be closed as low ...
whatsapp → whatsapp.app ✓ status-completed
Since these tags have identical meaning, merging is non-destructive.
whatsapp was removed from 5 questions and whatsapp.app added to 4 questions.
If you feel strongly that the app suffix should not be part of this app's tag, this can be pointed in the opposite direction without any loss of information, however the ...
I have finished automating this, and askdifferent.com redirects should be working much better than they were. I expect all of these urls to properly redirect properly over http and https(possibly pending DNS ttl expiry):
IMHO, they should be migrated to SE Arqade. There are many CoC questions there, most of them platform agnostic. Unless there is a specific issue relating to Coc client on an Apple platform, iOS or OS X, (in which case maybe it should be on SE Ask Different) there sh9ould really be asked/migrated to Arqade.
Alright. I have selected a new question and will ask people to comment here or answer if they would like to nominate another question (or type of question) for the about page. We can't choose any question, but have several dozens to pick.
Additionally, since we liked the question that was being featured enough to feature it, I've placed a bounty to see if ...
