Podcast #128: We chat with Kent C Dodds about why he loves React and discuss what life was like in the dark days before Git. Listen now.

My "day" job is being a Lighting Designer for live performance: theater, dance, opera, performance art. You can check out photos on my portfolio site. I also dabble in Racket, mostly an app to control Phillip Hue Bulbs in a performance setup (so the ability to set precise attributes and timings, structured as a cue list). I presented a demonstration at (Sixth RacketCon) in 2016.

I've also been nerding it out on the Mac since 2002, starting with 10.2 Jaguar. Had fun with the iBook G3 whose logic board failed right in the middle of drafting a show. I'm not an intense power user, but I can follow basic terminal commands and have a full menu bar (Bartender helps me control it though).
